How to Find the Perfect Location for Your Brand Photoshoot

When planning a brand photoshoot, one of the biggest things to think about is the location. Finding a spot that really reflects your brand can feel tricky at times.

My advice? Start by thinking about your brand’s core values and vibe.

What message do you want to send to your audience?

Are you going for something modern and polished, warm and inviting, or maybe bold and adventurous?

The location you choose should match that vibe so everything feels consistent with your brand’s story.

As a photographer, I’m always on the hunt for the best locations to use with my clients. Earlier this year, I put together my very own ‘Brand Photography Location Guide’—and the best part? It’s completely free to download at the end of this blog!

That said, the guide isn’t a complete list of every location out there (it’s definitely still a work in progress), so I thought I’d share a few more online resources to help you find the perfect spot for your brand photoshoot. Yep, I’m spilling all the tea!

So here goes, you are welcome friends.

1- Scouty – Scouty is hands down one of my favourite websites for sourcing shoot locations. Honestly, if I didn’t have grown-up responsibilities, I could spend days exploring everything it has to offer! In fact, I discovered the stunning home in Walthamstow where I hosted my Autumn Brand Minis all thanks to Scouty.

Plus, the platform is user-friendly and full of unique spaces that really elevate the look and feel of a photoshoot.

2- Peerspace –is another great option, especially for finding locations in London. There’s a huge variety of spaces available, making it a go-to for many photographers. Sadly, the Cambridge region doesn’t have as many options right now, but I’m hopeful that it will start to pick up as location rentals grow in popularity. After all, London is truly the GOAT when it comes to photoshoot locations!

3- The Location Guys– There are some dreamy locations on this site! It’s a bit on the elite side, so if you have a larger budget, I highly recommend checking out The Location Guys. Some of the spaces on there are absolutely out of this world!

4- Styled Home Studios– This awesome small business makes finding beautiful locations a breeze, so we don’t have to do all the legwork. They even have an ‘East Anglia’ section, which is perfect for anyone looking to find stunning spots outside of London!

5-Social Media– Many studio and home owners have their own social media pages, as it helps them showcase their spaces without paying a fee to advertise on these platforms. So, it’s always worth searching through Instagram and TikTok for hidden gem

Finally, think smaller. Don’t be afraid to ask friends and family or consider using your own office space. Cafes, coffee shops, workspaces, and hotels are also great options! There are so many unique locations out there, you just have to be bold and dedicated enough to find them. And of course, as your photographer, I’m always here to help you scout the perfect spot for your shoot. But if you'd rather leave it to me entirely, you can! I now offer location sourcing as an add-on to all my photography packages.
